I have searched high and low and found these very cute vintage charms!

The spinning disc are fab, spin them and they have a message, ‘I love you’, ‘Happy Days’, and ‘Good Luck’. These would make great presents for Mothers day, or birthdays.

The 9ct gold churches would make a great wedding present. One opens to reveal the bride and groom and the priest. The other one is rather special and when you look through the little window and hold it up to the light you can read the wedding vows!!!!

Sterling silver stalks are super cute and great for a friend who is expecting!!

Sterling silver lovers hiding under an umbrella, chunky bull dog, tiny keys that spell ‘I love you’, and a 9ct gold and enamel home guard all on long silk ribbons!!

All charms are either solid sterling silver or sold 9ct gold.

Hope you love them!

let me know if you would like to buy them!!!

Bobble Bottle

I am constantly being told to drink more water!! Apparently 10 cups of tea a day doesn’t count.

It is boring, I never remember and I don’t want to buy bottled water because you are inviting supermarkets to rob you when you spend money on something that comes out of the tap, not to mention the environmental effects.

So when I discovered the Bobble it solved all my problems.

The Bobble bottle is BPA free, these are the nasty chemicals used to make plastic bottles, and incorporated in the spout is a chlorine and organic contaminant filter. Each filter cleans the equivalent of 300 bottles of water, or 150 litres.

The design is great, the filter is replaceable, so fill it with tap water and get drinking!

Available in Heals and on Amazon – £10.99, replacement filter £7.99.

Electrocute the fuckers!!

I discovered these many years ago in Trinidad. They are a simple, but effective and very very satisfying way of killing unwanted flies and mosquitoes!

You just need to put the batteries in and you are away, running round the house like a nutter zapping things!

But I have just discovered a new thing to zap, bastard clothes moths! I spend quite a lot of time jumping out of bed, clapping my hands together trying desperately to swash the little fuckers before they munch more of my clothes. However they are quite quick, and I dont always manage to catch them. Now I simply pick up the racket, press the button on the side and casually electrocute them!

I am now winning the war, no more munching for them!

So arm yourself quickly before you or your clothes get eaten, they are available from Amazon.

Smythson without taking out a mortgage!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I took a little trip to Bicester village last weekend and had a field day in Smythson ( stationers to the Queen). For those not in the know, Bicester village is full of outlet stores, mainly high end!

Smythson sells all sorts of delights, from sale stock to items specifically made to sell there in a variety of fabulous colours!

I could not resist a beautiful IPhone cover in pea green snake leather. It’s a great little design!  Put your phone in the case, and when you want to get it out you pull on the fastening strap which is on a piece of elastic that sits underneath your phone and it simply pops out the top of the case. Brilliant! I paid £54, a reduction of nearly £40!!!

I had to be held back from the IPad cover which was reduced to £130 from £230-£300 as I don’t actually own an IPad, but the beauty of the cover is enough to make me want to buy one! I think I might need a bit of help!

Anyway, the shop is full of great ideas for gifts that are timeless in design, beautiful and reduced in price!! I will be going back to stock up for Christmas!!

The Burning House

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This is one of the best blogs I have ever seen.  I bloody love it.

How many times have you had the conversation with others or by yourself whilst lying in bed, “if the house catches fire what will I grab as I jump out the window?”

This blog shows pictures and descriptions of what people will save and why. The photos are beautiful and the detailed list of those items is amusing and touching.

Get photographing your treasured possessions and put them on ‘the burning house’.  It gives you the opportunity to see what really matters in your life!

I haven’t done mine yet as my mummy refuses to lie on the floor and be photographed!!! That was your cue to all be sick 😉

Biscuiteers! Yum Yum

Biscuiteers is just the most gorgeous site! Think of any occasion and they have a tin of biscuits for you!

Fathers day, thank you, anniversary, present for a teacher, new baby, valentines, wedding, this list goes on and on.

The biscuits are hand crafted in their kitchen and then beautifully iced before being placed in their individual tins.

Receiving flowers is great, but biscuits is so much better!

It is created by a company is Canada called Oopsmark and is available from a website called etsy for $30 plus postage.

Ear candles

Ok, I know this looks very strange, but i have used them and they are great.

Congestion in the ear can cause all manner of problems, but more than anything its an uncomfortable feeling.

These ear cones are easy to use, providing you have a friend to help you light it, and put it out. There are two cones in each packet that are made from unbleached cotton impregnated with a mixture of beeswax and paraffin. You place the cone in the ear and light the end, the heat created by the candle burning soften the wax and draws it out by the chimney effect.

When the process is over it is time for the reveal!! Gross I know, but it has to be done, unwrap whats left of the cone………….unbelievable!

You can get these for £6.12 from a company called Sortlifeout!

The Richard Dimbleby Lecture 2011

I just turned over and was mesmerised by this lecture.

The speaker is a man called Michael Morpurgo, a novelist, former childrens laureate, playwright, and Save the Children ambassador. He is an unbelievably passionate, charismatic, and likable man. He has long been a campaigner on behalf or children, both at home and abroad. He uses the lecture to address the increasingly urgent issue of children’s rights, exploring the rights and the wrongs young people are forced to endure.

He is the sort of man that you wish had taught you at school, truly inspirational.

Get onto BBCiplayer and watch it, you only have a week!!

Oliver Goldsmith

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Late one Saturday afternoon whilst walking down All Saints Road in Nottinghill I stumbled across the most amazing shop, Oliver Goldsmith.

I was taken down stairs to their archive room which holds their entire collection of sunglasses, I had to be dragged out of the place, bloody amazing!

Oliver Goldsmith began his career in the late 1930’s making sunglasses as a fashion item for the very first time! His creations were worn by the famous, powerful and beautiful, John Lennon, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine, and Grace Kelly. They featured in iconic films, Ipcress File, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Two for the Road!

The first collection went in to Fortnum and Mason, and Simpsons of Piccadilly and sold out within a week!

Oliver Goldsmith has been a family run British business for over 80 years and now Claire Goldsmith (Olivers great granddaughter) is at the helm.

Whether you need glasses for everyday wear or sunglasses, Oilver Goldsmith is the place to go. You can get an off the peg pair or choose from their archive and have them hand made to fit you perfectly.

Even if you’re not in the market for a pair of glasses, go in and have a look, its a fab shop!!!
